Singing bowl strikers or mallets come in different sizes and materials. Different sizes, handles and materials can all lead to different sounds being produced by the singing bowl. Typically the larger the bowl the larger the striker is required. Leather or suede strikers are mostly used for the rimming method of playing a singing bowl. Generally they are made of a harder wood and wrapped with suede, which produces less-harsh, more ethereal sounds.
This leather striker is 7 1/4" long and 1 3/4" in diameter. Bring on your big bowls.
